Understanding Gross Wages in PF ECR Challan: Should It Reflect Monthly or Contributed Wages?

sreenivas peruri
What is the meaning of gross wages in PF ECR challan preparation sheet? I have a doubt regarding ECR challan preparation. Do we need to mention the gross wages as the regular monthly basic wages, or should it be for the month in which the wages were contributed? Please clarify.

Earned Basic & DA and special allowance would be the gross wages for ECR. The ceiling limit would be Rs. 15,000/-. PF contribution is 12% for the employee, PF contribution by the employer is 3.67%, PF admin charges are 0.50%, pension contribution by the employer is 8.33%, and EDLI charges by the employer are 0.5%. The total contribution is 12% by the employee and 13% by the employer on Basic & DA and special allowance with a ceiling limit of Rs. 15,000/-.
