I was working in a China-based company in Bangalore for almost 9 months. There were no problems with work, but I was not happy with my General Manager (GM) as he was targeting employees, speaking badly about them with others, and removing them one by one. He even behaved inappropriately with some female staff members, including myself. One female staff member left her job due to his harassment. Despite sending an email to the Vice President (VP) in China, no action was taken.
One day, a Senior Manager was found guilty of occasionally taking a drinking water can from the company, which I was aware of. I warned the Senior Manager, and he stopped taking the cans. However, after many months, the Senior Manager took a can on a Sunday, as he couldn't find one elsewhere.
The next day, the GM terminated the Senior Manager. Subsequently, he also contacted me. I informed him that I was aware of the initial issue and had warned the Senior Manager, but I was not aware of the Sunday incident.
The following day, the GM sent me a warning email, which I did not appreciate. Consequently, I resigned from my position. The GM asked me to leave the company on the same day and mentioned that he would provide me with one month's notice pay. I have been unemployed for 2 months now.
I am considering issuing a legal notice against him, alleging sexual harassment in the company. He is also accused of showing favoritism towards individuals from his state by providing them with more importance, higher salaries, and better positions, leading to job insecurity among other employees. Despite my previous complaint to the top management, no action has been taken so far.
I am seeking advice on what steps I can take to seek justice.
