can we terminate employee during probation period without giving any notice

Hi, I am assistant HR manager. I want to know in what ways probation period is a beneficial tool with a employer. Can I terminate an employee during his probation period with or without understating reason.

Hi,
It depends on your employment terms. If you have a specific clause stating that employment can be terminated during probation period which is signed and accepted by mutual parties then you terminate. However you should have proper justification for termination - on performance grounds or other way.
