Notice Period Dilemma: How Much Should an Employee Pay if They Want to Leave Early?

jagdishsansare
If an employee does not want to serve the notice period, then, as per legal requirements or the rules of the act, how much contribution should they pay to the company? Please provide guidance accordingly.

Hi,

It depends on your company's notice period terms. The commonly followed standard notice period among companies is 30 days. So, if you follow a 30-day notice period, the employee has to either serve a 30-day notice period or pay one month's gross salary in lieu of notice period, to be recovered from his Final Full Settlement (FFS).
