Concerned About Past Contract Work: Will My New MNC Job Verify It?

Hi, I got selected in a big MNC last month. I worked for the same MNC in 2013 as a contract employee (not on permanent payrolls) through a third-party payroll company for 3 months. The contract duration was 4 months. Due to delayed payments from the third-party payroll, I exited from the payroll company by giving prior notice to the client that I worked for at the end of the third month. Therefore, the payroll company didn't provide any relieving letter. I chose not to argue with the payroll company and remained quiet.

Now, I have been selected in the same MNC as a permanent employee. Will they verify my previous contract employment? Do MNCs keep details of contract employees? I did not provide any documents to the MNC at that time; I only submitted them to the payroll company.

Importance of Disclosing Previous Experience

While applying for a job, mentioning one's previous experience will certainly give an edge over other applicants. If the prospective employer does not require the candidate to mention previous experience, the applicant need not do so. If it is specifically required, then one should mention it in the application with details of previous employment. Otherwise, it could be treated as a suppression of fact, and the dependability of the applicant would come into question. You have not disclosed whether the details of your employment experience were specifically asked to be mentioned. If they were, you should have done so. Speculations about the upkeep of particulars of contract labor by the employer or other matters are unnecessary. It is doubtful whether you made any mention of your short stint under the third party at all. Anyway, do not repeat such things in the future. As for the present opportunity, maintain the status quo without indulging in any guesswork.

I worked for that MNC as a contract employee through a third-party payroll company for three months. It's kind of off-roles and not on-roles. Now, after 5 years, I was offered a position by the same company on-roles. However, I did show those three months as a gap. Will the MNC now check my contract employee duration? Basically, my straightforward question is, will MNC software companies keep contract employee details with them as they do for permanent employees?
