Is there any written or unwritten law that the employer is entitled to provide casual or sick leave?

Is it okay to provide only a week off and not any other leave apart from national holidays?

If your company falls under the purview of the Shops and Establishment Act, you are bound to provide leaves as stipulated by the Act (EL, CL, SL). Please refer to the Act.
