Is ESI applicable for leg operation which has to be redone as patient is unable to bend his leg?

Sir, My colleague met with accident and his leg was operated by putting rods, later the rods were removed by the doctor (before joining our company). But his leg was straight and its not bending. He unable to bend his leg now. Later after consulting doctor, the doctor said that they can bend his leg by operating again. May i know through the ESI card whether he can claim the operation amount or he can be operated in the ESI hospital.
Note: ESI was registered to him from june -2019 month.

Hi, To avail super specialty treatment in ESI hospital like major operations the IP(Employee) has to complete minimum of 6months in ESI contribution.
