Hi,

I have prepared a project on "Measuring Training Effectiveness." However, most of the points that I have noted from Google sources are somewhat related to "Training Need Analysis." I am confused about whether Measuring Training Effectiveness and Training Need Analysis are the same or entirely different concepts. If they are different, please advise me on what I can write for my project. My project is almost finished, and I am attaching it for your review. I need to submit my project before 30th November 2007.

Hi Sapna,

As you have rightly guessed, both are the opposite sides of the same thread. Training needs analysis is generally the first step, and the evaluation of effectiveness is last. You will find a lot of material on effectiveness if you refer to models used for evaluating training effectiveness like Kirkpatrick's model, Warr's CIRO framework, CIPP model, Daniel Stufflebaum's model, control experimental approach, etc.
