Final Settlements on SAP: Can We Speed Up the Process and Handle Rehires?

Hi all,

Can anyone please tell me if we can do final settlement in bulk on SAP? In my organization, we currently do it one by one, which is very time-consuming. I would also like to know if it is important to delimit Terminal gratuity, considering that an employee might be rehired in the future.

Let me know the basis or reasons for final settlement 'in bulk'. Are you terminating them "en masse"? Is it in any way considered 'compulsory retirement' or 'termination'? I'm not sure what I should call it. An appropriate use of 'terminology' is essential for several purposes, including IT/TDS calculation.

There is no restriction on using a suitable format for computing the 'final settlement' on a SAP programmed formula or any other platform that can do it. Even Excel or a VB program can do it. When computed individually, a printout can be provided to the concerned employee for their future reference and confirmation to check for any omissions or commissions.

The limit of gratuity payable and making a key on that in the SAP program is necessary to align with your own gratuity scheme/rules or act, as the case may be.
