Can We Legally Prevent Employees from Quitting After a Raise? Seeking HR Advice

Hi all, I work as an HR professional in an IT firm with a staff of 35-40 employees. We recently conducted appraisals for our employees, which they accepted happily. However, it appears that some of them are still considering other job opportunities. Is it possible to introduce a clause in our HR policy stating that employees cannot resign for a specified period after accepting their raise? Are there any regulations prohibiting this? Your advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You cannot impose on employees that they should not resign for a particular timeframe after an increment. However, you may introduce an increment reversal clause, which can be added in the increment letter. This clause should state that in case of resignation within __ months from the effective date of the increment, management reserves its right to reverse the increment.
