Muzamil Ahmad
Please let me know if I resigned via email and as discussed on the phone with my boss. However, my boss is on leave, and his boss did not accept it, nor did I receive any confirmation.

Please, any help.

Hi,

Resignation through email is not a proper practice. You need to submit your resignation to your employer in person and serve the proper notice period as per your employment terms. However, in case of any major illness or hospitalization wherein you are not in a position to attend the office, you may submit your resignation through email with proper proof attached, expressing your inability to serve the proper notice period. Nevertheless, proper relieving or termination is at the discretion of your employer.

Dear V.M, I had resigned due to my personal emergency, but my company didn't respond. I resigned via email and on the portal as well.

Hi,

As per your private message to me ("Actually I had resigned due to my personal emergency, hence can't serve a 30-day notice period. I resigned via email and also on the online portal, and I'm not currently on the company's payroll. However, I have not received any response to my email or on the portal."), in my opinion, if you are not being properly relieved, your current employer may not provide you with proof of employment such as an experience cum relieving letter. This may be required when you apply for a new job in the future.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.
