False Accident case pending and employment with MNC - Should I inform the HR myself or keep quiet?

Hi, I am about to join XXX in August. When they came to our college, I had given the undertaking that no case is pending against me since nothing was there.
Now a false accident case has been filed against me with no records in the FIR (name, vehicle number).
The case is being contested in the court. Please help me how should I go ahead with joining XXX?? Should I inform the HR myself or keep quiet about it since the company will conduct background check.

I would suggest don't hide any thing. Tell your HR with your details otherwise you will work in fear through out your employment.

The information, as posted, contradictory. What is the present stage of the matter? Has the matter reached the court?
Yes, already stated, 304A is a serious charge.
