Facing a False Accident Case Before Joining an MNC: Should I Tell HR or Stay Silent?

Hi, I am about to join XXX in August. When they came to our college, I had given the undertaking that no case is pending against me since nothing was there.

Now a false accident case has been filed against me with no records in the FIR (name, vehicle number). The case is being contested in court. Please help me - how should I go ahead with joining XXX? Should I inform the HR myself, or keep quiet about it since the company will conduct a background check.

Rash driving or riding on a public way

Section 279 in The Indian Penal Code
279. Rash driving or riding on a public way.—Whoever drives any vehicle, or rides, on any public way in a manner so rash or negligent as to endanger human life, or to be likely to cause hurt or injury to any other person, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months, or with a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
