Hi Team, I am currently employed at one IT company in Bangalore working as a contractor for MNC. I started my employment on 26-March-2019 and I have resigned on 22-April-2019. My company told me that I will need to serve notice period of 60 days. Till now - they have not paid me the salary for 6 days of March and 30 days of April.
When asked they told that they will pay after Full and Final settlement, which will be after 45 days from my last working day. Which means I will need to wait for my salary for 4.5 months. Is it ok for employers to hold salary for that much long, as it becomes very difficult for employees to wait that long?
Also, as I have resigned within 6 months can they ask me to serve notice period of 2 months? For other employees in the same company they have given 2 months probation and 1 month notice period.
