Can an employee campaign for any political party?

In most cases, employees have the right to participate in political activities outside of work hours. However, when it comes to campaigning for a political party, there are certain considerations to keep in mind. Employers may have policies in place that restrict employees from engaging in political activities that could reflect poorly on the company or create conflicts of interest. It's essential for employees to familiarize themselves with their company's policies regarding political involvement to avoid any potential issues.

Hi,

No, campaigning for an election should not be encouraged within the office.

Dual employment is unlawful, but active participation in democratic processes without any remuneration or compensation in a democratic nation like ours? An employed person holding office in a cooperative housing society or a club, for that matter, is awaiting knowledge sharing, not opinions. Let there be a healthy exchange of legal positions.

Private company employees can very well campaign and work for parties. It should not be done on office premises. They have every right to exercise their choice. Company logo and premises, etc., should not be used.
