Unpaid Placement Fees: Can You Take Legal Action Against a Non-Paying Client?

Hi,

Is it possible to send a legal notice or take any such action against a client if they do not pay the placement fee despite repeated follow-ups, etc.? The placed candidate is working with the client, and payment is overdue by 100 plus days. Please suggest.
