Feeling Stuck in My HR Role: Seeking Advice on Certifications for Career Growth

soubhagya
I have completed MBA (HR) Regular with BCA as my bachelor's degree. I am working as an HR executive in one of the CMM level 5 companies for more than 1.5 years in the recruitment field.

I am not happy with my current job profile as it has become monotonous and does not offer me any opportunities for growth. Frankly speaking, my learning and growth curve has remained stagnant since I graduated from college and joined this company. The only benefit I see here is the company's brand name.

Therefore, I am seeking certification in advanced HR to enhance my knowledge and add weight to my CV. This will help me secure roles in HR generalist positions. I kindly request guidance from senior professionals on the next steps in my career and any recommended courses to help me transition to a different profile.

Please assist me. Thank you in advance.

Hello Subhagya,

Please understand one thing, it's just up to you how you take things. You have secured a job in a CMM Level-5 company, and now you have 1.5 years of experience in recruitment. It is certain that you must have learned and developed skills in recruitment to some extent, which is good. However, you know the grass is always greener on the other side, so please don't jump into other things just because you are feeling bored.

If you truly have a zeal for an HR Generalist role, understand what they do exactly, and believe that you would be happy in that role, then go for it. Otherwise, you may find yourself feeling bored again after some time.

Good Luck!

Thanks, Shivani, for the suggestion. I completely agree with you. That's true. But what I meant is that it is the right time and the right age for me to learn more and more things. I agree that I have learned a few things, but the learning process is not in progress now. It has become stagnant. I am interested in learning more things and taking on more challenges.

Now, with this explanation, can you please guide me?
