We are a small IT Firm which is in both Product and Services what should be the idle Leave allowed in a month and total leaves in a year.

The current leave structure is 5 l eaves is granted at the beginning of every quarter, if the company wants to change its leave structure what are the suggestions.

Design simple leave policy which is understandable by employee and management.
The Factories Act/Shops & Establishment act has provided annual/earned leave of 12 working days for all the workers who have worked at least 240 days in a year.

You can Allow 6 CL's (But Can't take more than 3 at one shot)
And 14 SL's (Need Medical certificate if taken >3 at one shot)
26 Weeks Maternity Leaves ( After completion of 6 Months service ,And Need to work on
minimum 80 Working days)

Your establishment is covered by Maharashtra Shops and Establishments Act. You can frame a leave policy for your company but ensure that the benefits under your policy are not in any way are inferior to those under the Act.The Act prescribes the minimum that can be provided and the company is free to have better benefits than this.
