Whenever I have attended interviews, many HRs have given me salary structure details. Is there a standard salary structure for Bangalore? If yes, please provide me with the same and how to calculate it.

Dear friends aspiring for HR careers,

It's expected of candidates seeking postings in HR, irrespective of scales, cadre, or levels, that they should have a minimum working knowledge of salary structure, components, rates for various levels, and job descriptions. I'm happy to say that citeHR provides ample opportunity to learn the nuances of this area, and it is up to the freshers to freely pick up that knowledge. All this information is readily made available from the links indicated on your screen; click on those links and learn. Any specific doubts can be raised here.

Dear Concern,

As per your request, normally the details given below are followed, and other components are also included based on the company.

Basic:
- HRA (40 to 50% in metro cities, 50% in other cities, 405)
- Conveyance
- Medical Allowance
- Bonus (8.33% of Basic)
- Project Allowances (Adjustment amount added to this component)

All of the above fall under Gross Salary. After deductions for PF, ESI, and PT from the gross salary, the net salary is calculated.

Dear Garupally Sir,

Could you please brief me more about the HRA part? As per my knowledge, for non-metro cities, HRA is 40% of the basic, and for metro cities, it is 50%.
