What is the EPF withdrawal process in a situation where an employee in a managerial role is absconding or has not completed the relieving procedure?

Some employees abscond and do not report to the workplace for several days. They may send an email to their HODs intimating resignation or submit a resignation letter and abscond without completing the notice period or other formalities. After some months, they approach the company to inquire about the EPF withdrawal process.

In this situation, what actions should be taken by management?

You can't hold the PF for their unauthorized absence or absconding from duty. They have the right to claim PF through their UAN portal.
