Trainee DOJ on Payslip - whether i should mention their DOJ as the date they completed First year of service?

Dear ALL, I am working as an HR Asst Manager, I have a query about DOJ , as here we hire freshers from training institute for development team, for first year, we will give them only stipend, but from the second year, we will make them as permanent employee and they will be giving PF and all other employee benefits,
So my query is in payslip whether i should mention their DOJ as the date they completed First year of service or I should take their actual DOJ, because they will lose 1 year experience as per their records. Kindly guide me and advice me please.

Hi,
Not sure of the nature of training provided in your organization (apprentice or other). If they do not come under the purview of statutory deductions for the first year then better don't show their first year training period. Ideally their DOJ should be from the date they were made permanent.
But in future try to cover all under PF as PF is mandatory for all.

Hi,
The primary question here is then why he was hired? I hope he was hired based on his competency and capability right ? I think you need to realign your hiring and selection process.
As he joined a week's time before, please discuss with him and appraise him the situation and obtain resignation letter from him. However obviously he will expect either notice period or notice as per your employment terms which needs to be honoured.
Beyond certain years of experience, especially at senior levels getting a job will also become tough.
