Can an Employee Get a Signatory for a Joint Declaration Form to Correct PF Details?

pk bhuriya
Dear sir, I have a query regarding an employee who joined a company (ABC) in 2006. However, this company did not mention the father's name with the PF office, and he left the job in 2014.

The employee rejoined a new company in 2017 and is currently working. He made an advance claim online, and after 8 days, the PF status reply stated that his claim form was rejected due to the father's name not being mentioned on the PF side.

Nevertheless, he had already corrected the father's name from the last company through online approval. He can see his father's name on the UAN ID password. Therefore, can the employee obtain a signatory hard copy from the current employer for the joint declaration form? Yes or no.

Thank you.

If the employee is working, he can transfer his old account to the current one (where the data is updated) and then proceed. The department will face hardship in checking 2006 records unless the previous employer submits the old Form 5 (copy) from their side.
