PF balance lying in two account - I cannot raise Form 13 as I am not currently employed with any employer

Dear Friends,

Can you please help me in providing guidance? If I have PF balance lying in two PF accounts and have resigned from my job to start a practice, how can I withdraw PF from both accounts? I cannot raise Form 13 as I am not currently employed with any employer.

Dear Friend,

Although your PF accounts may be different, your universal account is one. Therefore, please check to which UAN number your accounts are linked. Using that UAN, you can withdraw amounts from both accounts.

Thank you.

Thank you, Ravi, for the response. Both of my PF accounts are linked to the same UAN. If I withdraw online through UAN, the withdrawal is only possible from the last PF account. This has left me in a state of confusion. Could you please advise if there is a specific process I should follow to withdraw from both accounts?

Regards,

Dear Friend,

Have you transferred your previous account to a new one?

Dear Ravi,

The balance has not yet been transferred from the previous PF account.

Dear,

Is the previous account UAN number the same as the new account UAN number, or are they different?

Dear Jogeshwar,

If you are not in employment, as per PF rules, you can withdraw this money. Please complete the formalities and withdraw it.

Thanks

Dear Ravi,

The UAN is the same for both accounts.

Dear Mr. VK,

A small clarification is required. If I withdraw, will the amount from both accounts come together?

Dear VK,

I left the job in Nov 2018 and have not joined any employer till now. Should I initiate withdrawal formalities online through the portal? I was a little confused as the EPFO call center told me that all PF balance needs to be transferred to the last PF account as withdrawal is only possible from the last PF account. Is this correct?

Regards,
Jogeshwar

Dear,

Before going for a withdrawal, please check if both of your accounts are linked. Otherwise, you won't be able to withdraw the full amount. Please open your passbook and check if both accounts are showing in one universal account. Linking both accounts is necessary for a full amount withdrawal.
