Confused About BOCW Cess for My 2010 Noida House? Need Help with Timeframe and Applicability!

I constructed a residential house in Noida. The construction was completed in January 2010 with the completion certificates issued by the Noida Authority. The construction cost is more than 10 Lakhs.

Recently, I received a Notice from the Labour Commissioner's office to pay cess, mentioning the construction duration as 2010-2011 (the timeframe mentioned is incorrect). Can anyone help find out what the correct timeframe for the applicability of this cess is? Is it applicable to all older constructions as well?

Dear Mr. Akhil,

This Act was passed way back and was applicable in 2010 as well. It is applicable only for new materials cost, excluding all labor costs. If your information is correct, then take advantage of the time-barred clause under the Act.
