Changing Date of Birth in PF Without an Education Certificate: What Are Our Options?

To correct the date of birth in PF (Aadhar, PAN, Bank records are okay), we want to change the year of birth with a Joint Declaration. However, the employee does not have an education certificate. What should we do?

You can make the request for a change in date of birth (DOB) through the online Member e-Sewa portal of PF.

Here are the steps to follow:
1. Log in to the Member e-Sewa portal using your UAN number and password.
2. Select "Manage," then choose "Basic."
3. Select your correct date of birth.
4. Upload one of the following PDF documents:
a) Education mark sheet
b) Birth certificate
c) Passport

After completing these steps, inform your employer to approve your request through digital signature.
