Stuck in Limbo: How to Handle HR's Silence on My Resignation and Withdrawal Request?

I'm working in a corporate insurance company. I resigned from my job on 21/01/2019, and my system showed my relieving day as 22/03/2019, but HR did not accept that. Later, I changed my mind and requested to withdraw my resignation, but they neither declined nor accepted it. Now, my 2-month notice period is over. During this time, I experienced mental stress due to HR and other top-level decision-makers. My notice period is complete, yet my system still shows the same status. What can I do about this? My HR has not accepted my resignation nor my withdrawal. Kindly advise on the actions I can take. I am a good performer and have not received my appraisal for this year.

If a resignation tendered by an employed person is not accepted in writing and communicated to the said employee, and the said employee applies for withdrawal of his/her resignation request, the employer is bound to give effect to his/her second request/application. Thus, the employed person continues in employment/remains on the muster rolls.

I hope by this time you might have gotten relieved. If not, please write an email to your HR and immediate superior about your resignation letter date and completion of the notice period. Request the status of your resignation letter as you have completed two months. Please cc all higher officials of your organization. Make the email polite but very clear. No employer can force an employee to continue employment.
