A worker who was employed with me started his job on 01/03/2016 in Manpower Supply Basic. At the end of September, he was admitted to the hospital for several reasons. On 16 November 2016, he passed away. Consequently, he was marked as absent from work and did not receive a salary for that particular month, although he had worked a few days in September, and the PF was deposited for that month. However, the PF was not deposited from October 2016 to 16 November 2016.

Yes, his family will get the EDLI scheme. You need to submit a letter to EPF stating that at the time of his death, he was on your muster roll, regardless of whether he was absent or not.
