Facing Bonus Denial After Resignation: What Steps Can I Take to Secure My Due Payment?

srinivas. D. P.
Dear Team, I was working in a private NBFC from 1st Feb 2014 until 13th Mar 2019. I resigned on 14th Dec 2018 as per my appointment clause, which includes a 90-day notice period. I served my complete notice period and was relieved from the company. My Dec 2018 salary and March 2019 salary are on hold and will be cleared after 45 days of my relieving with full and final settlement.

Performance Bonus Issue

According to company policies, the employee performance bonus is calculated based on the financial year. I have learned from other colleagues that they have not received their annual performance bonus after resigning. In my case, I was present for the complete financial year. If I had not resigned, they would have paid me my annual performance bonus, but now they won't pay it.

Seeking Advice

What actions can I take if they won't pay the bonus in my final settlement? I request your guidelines on how to proceed further.

Please write to the HR/Finance department, mentioning all the details of the arrears owed to you. If possible, consider visiting the office and making the request in person. If they decline to provide a written response, you may take further action as needed. Before proceeding, ensure that you have received all necessary certificates, experience letters, etc.
