Employee Death and Employer's Agreement

A person who served for 22 years as a permanent employee in a particular company died on duty due to unknown reasons. A postmortem was conducted in GH, and an FIR was filed by the police as a suspicious death. The employer agreed to pay ₹10 lakhs and provided this agreement in writing before the cremation. However, after that, he refused to pay as agreed and informed the Labour Welfare Office. The Labour Office served a notice to the deceased's son to appear before the commissioner.
