for new passbook, it takes three weeks approx
for old passbook it gets updated in 3rd week of month, provided the payment is done within 15th of the month
If the payment is made late, then it takes some more time, as the department has to calculate the interest and damage and issue notice, then the amount get disbursed to the respective passbook
