Are Business Promoters in India Legally Allowed to Work Without a Salary?

Are the promoters, i.e., those mentioned in AoA/MoA, entitled to minimum wages? Or is it okay for them to withdraw no salary or a nominal salary from a legal/compliance point of view? Technically, they will be the 'employers' even if they are working in the office full-time to build/grow the business, right?
