Tubectomy After Delivery: Do You Get Extra Leave or Does It Overlap with Maternity Leave?

Section 9A: Leave with wages for tubectomy operation

In case of a tubectomy operation, a woman shall, on production of such proof as may be prescribed, be entitled to leave with wages at the rate of maternity benefit for a period of two weeks immediately following the day of her tubectomy operation.

If a lady undergoes a tubectomy operation immediately following her delivery by her own choice, will she be eligible for an additional two weeks post the maternity leave or not?

When the tubectomy is immediately following the delivery, I think that it would simply merge with the maternity benefit already being availed of by the employee.
