Is It Legal to Rotate Worker Shifts Every 2 Weeks? Seeking Clarity on Shift Scheduling

Our production head wants to rotate the shifts of workers every 2 weeks. For example, if a worker is assigned to the A shift, they will remain on that shift for 2 weeks before rotating. A weekly day off is provided after 6 days of work. Therefore, my question is whether rotating shifts every 2 weeks is legally permissible?

Kindly refer to Section 59 of the Factories Act. Please review the relevant factory rules of your state. Intimation to the concerned Factory Inspector, etc., needs to be looked into.
