Changing Jobs: Will My New Employer Create a New UAN If I Don't Provide the Old One?

Jegmut
I have worked in an organization for 6 months (up to December). They generated a UAN for me. Then I joined a new organization. I haven't given my old UAN to my new employer. Will my new employer generate a new UAN for me?

I have one more question: How can I check whether my old employer released me from their organization?

Greetings,

According to the PF, your Aadhar number is linked to your PF UAN number. The new employer will obtain your old UAN number with the help of your Aadhar number. Without closing the old UAN number, you can't get a new UAN number.

If your old UAN is not linked with Aadhaar and you have not given or declared the UAN to the new employer, then they will create a new UAN for you. If Aadhaar is linked with the old one, then automatically it will show your old UAN during creation.
