Stuck Without an Appointment Letter: How Can I Get an Early Release from My Job?

I am Giridhar. Four months ago, I joined an organization where there are no policies, and they haven't even given me the appointment letter. They have assigned me to a program management role and also made me work in the supply chain department.

Now, I have a new opportunity and I want to be relieved early. However, they are stating that a three-month notice period is mandatory. I have explained my situation, mentioning that the new employer is not willing to extend my joining date, and I am on the verge of facing unemployment.

Initially, my manager agreed to release me before the joining date. But now, HR is saying that they cannot relieve me before the completion of the three-month notice period. Please advise me on what steps I can take to obtain an early release.

Hi Lakshmi, I am working as an Assistant Manager in the program management department at a pharma company. I am a direct employee. Just 4.5 months ago, I joined this organization. There is no appointment letter in this organization, and I haven't signed anywhere. However, when I submitted my resignation, they asked me to stay for 3 months. I informed them that I had submitted my resignation within 6 months of joining, and I could stay for 1 more month, but not longer. Still, they have not provided any confirmation regarding my relieving. Can you please suggest what I should do? Thank you.
