Facing Non-Payment of Salary: How Can I Find Affordable Legal Help?

sethik321
Hello! I have been working with a private company in Okhla. All of a sudden, their MD told me to leave the company because they can't keep that much staff. Contrarily, she sent me a one-liner email mentioning that I should leave the company in one week, whereas HR asked me to leave on the same day despite me telling them that I am in need of money.

Since then, they have stopped responding to my calls, emails, and SMS. I have sent them several emails requesting my salary for the month of November 2018, which amounts to 70,000/-. They also deducted TDS from my October 2018 salary but did not deposit it to the Income Tax department. It has been two months, and I have been chasing them with no response at all.

Lawyers are too expensive. Whom should I approach who is reliable and less expensive? Please advise.

Hi,

First, you should make a final humble request to all officials of your organization and inquire about your salary and documents. You can refer to your company's HR policy for guidelines on the approval to employees, and they must provide you with your salary. If nothing is in your favor, then you need to seek out a lawyer. Remember, expensive lawyers are not always the best, but you should strive to find a good one.

Thanks
