How Can I Withdraw My PF Money When My Company Has Closed and KYC Is Pending?

tarak shaw
My company is closed and it has no trace presently. In this situation, I want to withdraw my provident fund amount, but my KYC (Aadhar, Pan, Bank A/C) is pending at the employer's end for their approval. As a result, I am unable to submit my claim application online. How can I withdraw my PF money?

Awaiting your valuable advice.

You can visit the EPFO and explain the matter to them. They can authorize the KYC if found valid. Alternatively, they can allow the signature of your bank manager in place of the employer on the forms/documents.

Dear Mr. Sharma,

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I would like to inform you that I am a resident of Kolkata, and my PF office is located in Mumbai. Therefore, you will agree with me that it is not physically possible for me to visit the PF office.

I also want to bring to your attention that starting from 24.12.2018, the PF office has announced that no claims will be entertained in person. Consequently, I need to apply for claim settlement online. Please provide guidance on this matter.

Dear Sir,

I am unable to submit my claim application to date due to the non-approval of my KYC from the company's end. As you know, my company has been closed; that's why the KYC has not been approved from the company's end. Can you tell me if there are any other options to submit my claim application or for KYC approval?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

You may approach personally the EPFO office and apprise them of the position. For the submission of papers, you can get them attested by any nationalized Bank Manager/Senior Manager and submit them to EPFO. Also, check and submit the formalities for obtaining the scheme certificate for your EPS fund.
