Is there a different bracket to calculate professional tax for female employees in Maharashtra?

There is no difference for women in the rates. The rate is Nil for a salary up to Rs. 7500 per month, Rs. 2100 per annum for a salary between Rs. 7500 and Rs. 10,000, and thereafter it is Rs. 2500 per annum.

Effective from 1/4/2015:

1. Salary and Wage earners - Individuals with monthly salaries or wages:
(a) Not exceeding Rs. 7,500: NIL
(b)(i) For males, exceeding Rs. 7,500 but not exceeding Rs. 10,000: Rs. 175 per month
(b)(ii) For females, not exceeding Rs. 10,000: NIL
(c) Exceeding Rs. 10,000: Rs. 2,500 per annum to be paid as follows:
(a) Rs. 200 per month, except for February
(b) Rs. 300 for the month of February
