Sandwich Leave - leave on Saturday and Sunday week off and Monday and Tuesday

Hello Everyone, I have query for Sandwich leave
Query for I leave on Saturday and Sunday week off and Monday and Tuesday public holiday and join on Wednesday .
My HR says its Sandwich leave.
It is Correct or not? Please Help me Out!!!

No, this is not, sandwich leave is considered only in the case if someone is absent before and after of any week off or public holiday.
In your case you worked on Friday before your leaves (hope I am right here) and you worked on Wednesday after your leaves. So your week-offs and Holiday leaves are not covering from both end. So this will not counted as sandwich leave.

Query for I leave on 23rd to 25th oct , and 26th to 30th is diwali holiday. so , on 31st also i take leave
And i take leave on 1st &2nd nov
than its sandwich leave ??
My Boss said it include in sandwich leave
actually my point of view is that ( sandwich leave include weekends like sunday if someone take before & after leave sunday and here the month also change the Date 1st , 2nd leave insert in the nov leave )
