Experience in Talent Acquisition - thinking of moving to generalist role - whether it would be good?

Hi All, I have 6 yrs of experience in Talent Acquisition and now my designation is Asst.TA Manager.
I am thinking of moving to generalist role. Would like to know whether it would be good?
My same company has such options. Help me with your inputs.
