Hi, I joined company X on 19th April 2017. I left the company on 14th May 2018 due to a medical issue and did not serve the notice period. In the same month, I received an offer from company Y and requested to join on 28th May 2018. I joined company Y without disclosing my previous employment. After some days, I managed to obtain a relieving letter from my former company X. Unfortunately, they mentioned my Last Working Day (LWD) as 1st June 2018.
I inquired with HR why the date was stated as June 1st when I actually left on May 14th, 2018. HR explained that they processed the salary for that month, and the payslip indicated WO- 24 (including my leaves), LOP- 7, and the final date as 1st June 2018.
Now, I have received an offer from company Z. In my CV, I have detailed my current and previous work experiences. Company Z requested my past company's Relieving Letter and my current company's Offer Letter. During the Background Verification (BGV) process, they observed a 5-day overlap. However, I possess proper documentation, such as payslips showing that I was only paid for the days I worked.
What should I do if I fail the BGV?
Will they withdraw the offer? How might this impact my future job prospects?
