FNF settlement hold - If someone got terminated by the company manager?

Dear All, If someone got terminated by the company manager & also got the mail from the HR. Can they hold the FNF?

My friend got terminated , last month he got mail that FNF will be process from 09th dec, but today his manger asking about recovery .
Kindly advice what he can do in this?

Reason is that he is part of transportation, they were outsourcing the trucks from Market .
Eomployee took 2 cheques on his name when transporter didnt get payment at material unload then he was angry for his payment , He went at Mill but Miller said that we will provide to the transporter & then all team went it . after clear the cheque , the payment has given to the vendor.
2 month ago all team complaint about his manager to HR due to his behaviour. suddenly one team member informed him about it & said about it. That cheque was march thing , in the Nov , he terminated him due to this then said go & mail again.
i think its part of conspiracy...kindly advice
