PF employee exited by mistake - Is there any ways to revoke this employee exit?

We have an employee who has rejoined the company. While updating his KYC details, I mistakenly marked him as exit. Is there any way to revoke his exit?

Make sure to rejoin again. If UAN is activated, the passbook will be automatically transferred.

Hi,

Thank you for responding, but if the employee finds out this has happened, he can raise an issue.

Visit your regional PF office with a written application regarding the error and have it corrected by the technical department of the PF office.

Thank you.

Hi Anju,

I know about this solution, but then it will get highlighted to the CEO as his signature is required on the letter, which I do not want.

Hi,

You should inform your management that an employee has been accidentally removed from the PF, and efforts are being made to rectify this promptly. It is better to acknowledge the mistake and resolve it instead of continuing to deceive at each stage until it is resolved. Why avoid your responsibility and conceal the truth when errors are a natural part of being human and mistakes can occur? Take ownership of the situation and ensure that the individual is not disadvantaged in the PF due to delays on your part.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

Thank you for your responses. An employee joined on the 4th of June, and I mistakenly exited him on the 5th of June. If I rehire him, will his contributions from June to October be automatically transferred to his new account?

Regards,
Asmita

Can anyone answer the above questions, please?

After repeated reading, I have found the following:

1) The employee's joining date is June 4, 2018.
2) The employee is continuing and paying contributions.
3) HR has processed the exit of the employee on June 5, 2018.

Under this situation, the record is destroyed, and the contribution itself is reduced to 1 day as HR has processed the exit on the very next day. Therefore, the only procedure is to quickly go to EPFO and request them to cancel the generated exit.
