I think this is casual/not mandatory 'internship' in an engineering or other firms not like the 'internship' like doctors and lawyers etc. who required to undergo internship to qualify for their respective degrees.
Generally it is understood that 'interns' are only trainees and they are supposed to stop once the 'internship period' is over. There can be either paid or free (honorary) internship. Paid internship can be called 'stipend' not a 'salary' per se. The stipend can be a consolidated one without broking into basic, DA, HRA etc which is meant for regular employees. At best they can be provided in addition to stipend 'fare' or 'conveyance reimbursement'. No detailed formatting may be necessary if at all you wish to issue a 'pay slip to them'. There is no need for any 'invoicing' either.
