Can I Withdraw EPS if I've Worked Less Than 6 Months? What Happens to My Contributions?

I want to know whether it is possible to withdraw EPS if the working period is less than 6 months. If yes, then how? If no, then why? Will the EPS money be wasted, which is 8.33% out of 12% of PF?

I logged in on EPF portal, and it showed me that your working period is less than 6 months. Hence, it didn't proceed.

No withdrawal is possible for contributions of less than 6 months, but it is not lapsed provided your KYC is completed. The employee will receive credit for the old account when they join another firm and become contributory, with the same UAN.
