Visa Cancellation process - post completion of the notice period, left UAE region but not cancelled the VISA

Need your opinion to know, visa cancellation process in Dubai, DMCC region. If an employee resigns and post completion of the notice period, left UAE region but not cancelled the VISA which has still 6months of validity.
Consider the employee left without VISA cancellation, due to a family emergency.
Please share your expert opinion on :
1. How the VISA can be cancelled?
2. Does his presence is required in UAE immigration office for VISA cancellation?
3. In case he has to join another company in UAE and have to travel from India back to Dubai, what can be done for his VISA cancellation?
4. Can the employer initiate VISA cancellation on behalf of the employee? If yes, under what circumstances and what procedures to be followed.
5. If an employee is not reachable and to mitigate the risk of VISA validity usage, can the employer notify the immigration office as absconding employee. If yes, what procedures to be followed?
6. If employee is not ready to co-operate with employer and submit his passport/visa to initiate the VISA cancellation on his behalf, what action to be taken by employer to cancel the VISA?
