I have a query regarding my offer letter. My client has transitioned from one IT company to another IT company. The new company has decreased the basic pay, HRA, CA, MA, and other pays while increasing the special allowance in the CTC. I have rejected the offer due to this, as this situation has occurred twice, and they are providing arbitrary figures.
What is the importance of basic pay, and how can I negotiate for higher pay? Kindly suggest so that I can have a better understanding.
