Legal Concerns: What Happens If You Cancel a Check After Taking an Advance Payment?

If I were to request my MD for a transfer or to relinquish my position, and he replies, "Do as per your wish," and after one month, I had taken an advance payment of Rs 50,000/- for paying my fees. I used my original PAN card and provided two signed checks without dates mentioned. I requested to settle the amount against my monthly salary and expressed my intention not to re-join due to pursuing higher studies. I subsequently canceled the check online. In such a scenario, what legal actions could be taken by the MD?

The company can take legal action against you for giving a stop payment against known dues. Be careful before you do stop payments. Full facts need to be given for better answers. Prima facie, stop payment action will not be legally correct.

I have no extra money. My salary was 30k per month, and my salary as per actual is 55k based on my working days. However, I took an advance of 50k and informed them that the amount would be adjusted in the September and October month salary. My exams started on 19th November, so I am unable to rejoin duty.
