Are We Allowed More Than 5 Festival Holidays Under Tamil Industrial Act?

Dear Friends,

Can someone help me with whether we are permitted to declare more than 5 festival holidays? Is it allowed by law according to the Tamil Industrial and Establishment Act?

As per the rule, 4 National and 5 Festival Holidays are mandatory. If you wish, you could give more holidays. You may refer to the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (National, Festival, and Other Holidays) Rules, 1958, and many relevant statutory updates at https://www.stacowiki.in/en/acts/st-tamil-nadu/.
