Am I Eligible for Gratuity and EPF After Leaving My Job? Need Help with the Process

anusha-shuba
Hi all, I served in one of the MNCs from 16/05/2011 to 20/01/2016. Kindly let me know if I am eligible for gratuity. After quitting due to personal issues, I couldn't concentrate on gratuity and EPF. Can I claim both now? What is the procedure to be followed? Kindly help, as I am in need of it now.

Hi,

Your total working duration is 4 years, 8 months, and 4 days. Regarding your gratuity, you are eligible to receive it. For PF and Pension benefits, you will need to fill out the form to credit the amount to your account. Please reach out to your HR or personnel department for payment details.

Thanks and regards

Eligibility for gratuity arises upon completion of 5 continuous years of service and 240 days in the 5th year. I don't think you are entitled to gratuity. EPF can be withdrawn but will be taxable; you can choose to transfer it to a new employer.

Hello,

Yes, you are eligible for gratuity because you have completed 4 years and 8 months. As per government norms, any person who has completed 4 years and 7 months is eligible for gratuity. For PF, you will need to contact your HR.
