Is employer liable to pay claim/ compensation in case the employee is not paid by the insurer against his claim?

Hello Everyone,
We have received a communication from an erstwhile employee asking us to claim the amount which was not by the insurer. The insurer neither has declined the claim nor has paid the claim amount. The claim was made in 2016 and still the employee has not received the amount.
My query is how far the employee is liable to pay the claim amount since we have paid the premium on time and are ready to assist the employee in receiving the claim amount from the insurer.

Dear Kumar,
As your company is ready to assist the employee then you need to call the insurance company and check for the status. As it is really very long time for which the insurance company had not settled the claim and neither rejected it. Normally for corporate policies this does not happen. As a client you have a right to ask the insurer and help the employee to get his settlement amount which will help in resolving the issue.
