Former Employee's Unpaid Insurance Claim: Are We Responsible for Compensation?

Kumar_1313
Hello Everyone,

We have received a communication from a former employee asking us to claim the amount which was not paid by the insurer. The insurer has neither declined the claim nor paid the claim amount. The claim was made in 2016, and the employee has still not received the amount.

My query is how far the employee is liable to pay the claim amount since we have paid the premium on time and are ready to assist the employee in receiving the claim amount from the insurer.

Dear Kumar,

As your company is ready to assist the employee, you need to call the insurance company and check the status. It has been a long time since the insurance company has not settled the claim or rejected it. This is not typical for corporate policies. As a client, you have the right to ask the insurer and help the employee receive their settlement amount, which will help resolve the issue.

Thank you.
